It’s common that as a manager you have to create the same reports from time to time, so it’d be great to have an option to make your Jira reports recurring. They’re highly useful, so we want to share a couple of ideas on how to get such reports effortlessly.

There are 2 options.

  1. You need to go to the Report Module and Choose the preferable report and main values  > Create a bookmarked report  > Copy the link.

In order to receive such a report and email about the report permanently, create a recurring event in your personal Calendar. We chose the Google Calendar and took the following actions: Create an event  > Name it “Jira recurring report” > Choose the repeated date ( in our case weekly on Monday)  > Paste the link with the bookmarked report.

As for now you will receive email notifications about the planned event (recurring report) and create your favorite reports without an effort.

2. The other way is to use the help of the Timeline, this option is good for users who open ActivityTimeline every day, so they for sure won’t miss it.

Create a recurring custom event on the timeline, (Booking or Meeting)  → Name it “Jira report” → Paste the link with the bookmarked report.

There is also a possibility to combine both of the aforementioned options. Users can integrate their Timelines with their own Google, Outlook, and Apple Calendars. After integration, the ActivityTimeline’s bookings with the recurring reports will be visible on the personal calendars.
